Review on I5 650 3 2GHz 3 20GHz Clarkdale Processor by Stanislaw Gorka ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not at all what I expected.Terrible!

Core i5-655K costs about 8 thousand. By increasing the multiplier, you will get an even more powerful processor (it's easy to chase up to 4500 MHz with good cooling) for less money ! And frankly, if you take core i5, then only 750- th model . The entire 6th series of core i5 will be discontinued in a year, so buying a processor with two cores for SUCH CRAZY money (4 threads is not 4 cores ! ) is at least STUPID ! The integrated video core is also a dubious advantage ( nobody needs it), especially since it (embedded video) only works on motherboards with the H55 / H57 chipset . And then there is the core i3, also with a built-in core, but at a price TWO AND A HALF TIMES LESS! In short, the core i5 at Clarkdale is a money transfer!

Pros
  • 1. Able to process 4 threads with two cores. 2. High clock frequency. 3. Built-in video core. 4. Modern 32nm process technology.
Cons
  • 1. PRICE! 2. If there is a core i5-655K on sale with an unlocked multiplier and at a price 25% lower, there is no justification for buying this processor.
