The material is comfortable, smooth and shiny, like swimwear, but thicker. My daughter liked the color but it was MUCH smaller than the size of the product. I ordered size XL (12-14) and it barely fit my 9 year old. She's tall for her age, which is why I ordered TWO sizes up.
