Review on CURT 31322 Front Receiver Hitch for Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500: 2-Inch Efficiency at its Best! by Rob Marsh

Hard rating. I needed a front hitch for my silverado and was impressed with the hitch, the price and the easy installation idea. Well the hitch is good and sits well under the bumper which is nice. It makes a robust and well-made impression. What I didn't like was the decor. All in all, everything seemed wrong by a fraction of an inch. So nothing was attached directly, mostly the mainstay that goes straight from the hitch to the truck's cross member. I fought and fought to even it out and eventually it did, albeit without the little padding that was supposed to fit in there. I don't think it will make a big difference. However, after the installation was complete, I noticed that my bumper was tilted down about an inch. Screws are attached to it, with which the bumper is attached to the frame. Given the difficulty I had to align the hitch, I'm hesitant to go back and see if I can get the bumper adjusted back to normal. So append = good, install = no good.
