Allows water to flow through the surface of the button when submerged in water.
Overall they are good and easy to install but when submerged in water they will let water through the button surface. While they are suitable for wet locations or the occasional wet mopping, they are not for serious applications that require a waterproof switch (which must be sealed from the inside with a continuous membrane).
