I installed a new filter housing and after turning the water back on I had a leak so I wiped moisture from the filter housing and was careful to ensure water was not leaking from my connections but from a valve on the side that lets you turn the water on or bypass it so you can change the filter without turning the water off completely. So I contacted GE because they have a guarantee on it. After my first email I received an automated message that we have received your message and a support representative will be in touch. It's been 2 weeks and no reply so I sent another email and this time I didn't get an automatic reply and it's been a full month since my first email and I still haven't heard from anyone from GE about warranty or heard something else. So buyers beware. I'm sure this isn't the norm for product quality, but for a company that took so long to respond I would instead ask whose product I'm buying because a written guarantee is useless if they don't supports. .
