No sandwiches!

Unseasoned and I assumed the inner bottom would be at least the size of a loaf of bread. The photo shows that everything is almost perfect. What I didn't "seen" is that the top rim is the size of a slice of bread and then gets smaller. So there isn't even an option to make a sandwich. I don't understand what is behind this design. It is definitely not suitable for making any type of sandwich. Well, if you're going to use it for something small, I can't even think of anything. In the photos you can see my attempt at the toad in the hole. Cooking bacon bits worked well. The bacon grease smeared the iron badly, but the sandwich was terribly sticky. It took a lot of effort to get what you see in the photos. I bought these at the end of October 2020 and used them once. I never want to go through the pain it took to sort this thing out. I will probably give it to my sister the iron queen, let my husband play with her lol. Periodically he cooks on a fire and in the ground during dates with gunpowder. I like that the handles are removable, which makes cleaning easier. You got my money. if not defective. I used it and didn't feel good when I came back. I'll pass it on and buy one that's flat on top and bottom.
