I had to replace a lost small Sony pocket transistor radio with a AAA battery. I thought that was the answer. Disappointed with the battery life. Day 1 the dough took 3 hours. It took 3 hours to charge to only get 2 1/2 hours of playtime. At the beginning of my day, the radio is always in my pocket with the receiver in my ear. I turn on/off based on activity. When using my little Sony, I always carried an extra AAA battery in my purse - I didn't want to risk missing the talk show. I have never dealt with a lithium battery. This makes for a brief listening experience. The size of the radio is impressive. The sound is ok. I have no idea what sweetness is. Can the same radio be made an inch thicker and longer to take a AAA battery or a much better lithium battery that lasts 10+ hours and is easier to charge?
