I bought this car seat to protect my driver's car seat from the harsh New England winters and also to protect the seats from sweat after a decent walk to the gym. I didn't need anything too crazy, but I wanted it to be durable and waterproof. This fully meets the requirements! It looks like it's very well constructed with strong stitching, durable canvas-like fabric on the front, and a rubberized textured back (similar to a rubberized kitchen drawer trim). There are no instructions in the box as such, but there are a few brief drawings of how it should be assembled. This is mostly self-evident. My only complaint is that the bottom strap used to hold the seat in place is uncomfortable and can be tricky to place. The strap is incredibly long and I had to wrap it around the base of the seat so it was just a tiny bit snug against the seat. Also, I would be wary of light-colored seats as the rubber padding is sure to cause discoloration. Overall a great product and seems to work great to keep the seats from getting wet and dirty.
