Good hardware, this product looks like cheap plastic but it does the job. I had a hard time putting the controller in the top slot, for some reason it didn't work, I was a bit afraid of damaging the controller port, but after a few tries it worked. This product is very simple, it gives you two light indicators BLUE and RED. Blue with no controller on is in standby mode, when you connect and it's charging, it'll turn RED, when fully charged, it'll turn BLUE again. I plugged it in and left my set top box in sleep mode for about two hours. When I came back it was still red until I turned on the set top box. It was fully charged, not sure what it was.
