Review on 🐠 DaToo Mini Aquarium Heater 25W: Small Fish Tank Heater with Free Thermometer Sticker - Efficient Heating for 25 Watt Aqua Environments by Lacey Rinehart

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works as intended: Fish and aquatic animals

Pretty simple setup: dip in water, attach to the aquarium, connect and you're done. I have this for a small 2.5 gallon aquarium. It replaced the 7.5W Aqueon heater which I thought costs less when the ambient temp is below 70 degrees and above 73 degrees. Something I quickly realized is that what is actually needed to keep an aquarium at a tropical temperature can be easily overcomplicated. Too many people say that 10w or even 5w is more than enough for such a small tank. What they don't mention is that you need to constantly monitor the temperature to stay within the acceptable range. Then unplug and plug back in as they won't turn themselves off as they don't have a built in thermostat. This heater works perfectly for me. It keeps the tank at 77-78 degrees consistently no matter how cold it is in my house. 2 suction cups are very strong. It has a built-in LED that lights up red when heated and green when turned off. Just make sure you are facing the correct direction on the printed panel on the glass when installing. The only thing that confuses me is that damn cable is so short it can't be longer than 3 feet. The tank is up to my waist on a dresser and the cord isn't long enough to reach the floor where my tank surge protector was once installed. If you don't use an extension, it works fantastic.
