This is a great external drive that works just like any other. I chose it as I have a Lenovo laptop. I spent over 3 hours trying to figure out what to do - there is an AUTORUN file that does NOT set up the drive - it just installs ADDITIONAL junk like Paint and other non-essential programs. After uninstalling, I reconnected the drive and it read fine. Just plug in and get started. DO NOT use the CD for anything. drop it
