The bristles don't last long

My son loves these toothbrushes because of the flashing light. And it helps him brush his teeth longer until the light stops blinking. After only a few uses the bristles start to bend and he's only 4 years old and doesn't brush as hard. I feel like I replace my toothbrushes sooner than necessary but I think that's why they're a bit cheaper than others.
