Review on πŸŒ€ Holmes Mini High Velocity Personal Fan, HNF0410A-BM" - "Holmes HNF0410A-BM Mini High Velocity Personal Fan for Optimal Cooling Performance by Becky Guyer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great little fan for low airflow (HNF0410A).

First of all, a bit of variety. There seems to be TWO versions of this fan and this could lead to conflicting data. One (these) is a small HNF0410A and the other is a larger one known as HNF0910C. I think that might be why the questions and answers contain information that might seem contradictory: two models = two different results mixed together? Nonetheless. Some boring information about the little HNF0410A----------------------------- -------------- --------- -------- ----- ------------- Appears to be approximately 5 1/2 inches tall. Approximately 6 inches wide (including base). Approximately 5 inches deep (if you leave enough room in the back NOT to pinch the cord etc.). There are four small blades, each measuring (approximately) 2" x 1.25". Hold the string in one hand and the tape measure in the other. The cable length is about 57 inches. The plug is one of the two-piece polarized connectors. It looks like there might be a "fuse" in the plug itself. SPEED: A single speed fan is just the main on/off switch on the back. POWER CONSUMPTION: The Kill-o-Watt tester measured its average power at 11.8W. for its one speed. MOTOR TEMP (?): Run for about 10 minutes at about 80 degrees, at room temperature 71 degrees. You"" when someone asks about cubic feet per minute, and I certainly can't measure that myself. I just stood in front of the fan and held a piece of paper. While doing that, I could get a very, very, very (very) slight Feeling air movement six feet away The pages of a tiny calendar attached to the fridge "raised" two feet, so if you want to feel a gentle breeze, try 2 1/2 to 3 feet from the fan I'm personally testing one of these single burner NuWave PIC cooktops and am concerned about long term steam exposure. Things bubbling out of pots on NuWave. Can rising steam (over time) make adjacent cabinet doors "unfortunate" The best thing you can do is nip this possible problem in the bud and just blow all the steam from the cupboards into the kitchen. For that purpose, this little fan seems more of the task than s grown. If you require a more powerful fan than this please go down a size from this category (Personal) to one of the smaller fans. As I have several Vornado fans I looked at small Vornado fans but after reading those reviews I bought this Holmes fan. Looks like it was a good buy: small size, decent airflow for the task, metal construction, low power consumption, etc. The fan was turned "on" and controlled from the power strip.
