This is a very good epoxy that will bond most plastics. There are a few things you need to do to ensure you get a good connection. First, the tubes contain epoxy on one side and hardener on the other, and you need to get the same amount of each for it to cure properly. When I spread it, it always started spilling one more than the other, so I started on a paper towel until evenly spread, then poured the required amount into a mixing cup. Secondly, you must mix the two components thoroughly, otherwise they will not cure properly; Mix the epoxy and hardener vigorously for 1 minute, making sure there is no unmixed epoxy or hardener around the edges of the mixture. Third, most epoxy will degrade after a year or so if left in the sun, so for outdoor use it's best to paint or otherwise coat it. Fourth, for good adhesion, the surfaces must be clean; Even lightly sanding the surface prior to application improves adhesion. To fill in large gaps or holes, you can add fine sawdust until it's soft as peanut butter, which will also keep it from sagging on a vertical surface before it hardens.
