I have to go to various libraries to do research and I'm tired of a) spending money on photocopies, b) worrying about getting said photocopies, c) taking said copies home take and d) keep said copies. When I first started digitizing my huge collection of prints I decided it was time to stop and after reading the reviews I bought this scanner. It is very convenient and very easy to use. I disagree with those who complain about distortion due to uneven movement. It's very easy to keep your hand steady and move straight, and if you don't do it very well, the scanner will let you know with an error message. This allows a lot of work to be done quickly and easily. On my last trip I scanned 150 pages in no time and had no problems and the scanner wasn't full! Because it connects to my Macbook Air via USB, it's easy to clean up and start over if I need to make more copies. My only complaint is that I wish there was a cheap, good quality scanner that could do the same job for larger than letters. size paper.
