This was purchased to protect and keep pistols safe when traveling. I understand that nothing I buy is reliable and does not protect the content 100%. I also have the GunVault, which is larger and has all-metal construction, but is less travel-friendly and easy to store. receive a SAFETY ROPE. This is a huge bonus as I was able to casually handle the pill case, carabiner and drawstring pouch that come with the Venture accessory. Included is a "safety cord", a cord that is easily cut and unlikely to be used. Also included are two layers of foam that can be removed entirely or used individually. If you plan to store jewelry or watches, it would be good to keep both layers inside. I use it primarily to hold a subcompact frame Glock with a layer of foam inserted (to keep it from sliding around in the case). The LifePod fits easily on the sub-compact Glock, but will not fit when the gun is holstered. With a holster, the LifePod does not provide enough clearance to close the lid, even when both foam inserts are removed. Finally, the kit also includes sets of keys to open the LifePod in the event of a 9V battery failure (battery not included). Overall the LifePod is small, compact and easy to program for a 4 to 8 digit user code. Built-in latches on either side help keep the case closed and sealed. I look forward to using this when traveling and traveling. Fits; small and compact Glocks without problems.
