Review on 🚲 YAKIMA - Locking BlockHead Fork Mount Bike Rack: Secure Bike Transportation for Trucks & Trailers with Flat Beds by Angel Scully

I love this bike rack. I bought one a few years ago and installed it in the back of my truck in minutes. I have used it to carry my bike over 100 miles on many occasions with no other straps necessary. I bought this second Yakima mount as an extra bike to transport my wife's bike or when a friend wants to ride out of town with me. But I'm giving this "BlockHead fork mount" 4 stars because unlike my first mount, it didn't come with mounting hardware! So what was supposed to take just a few minutes to drill 2 holes and tighten the nuts turned into a trip to the hardware store once it was closed and rummaging through trash cans for the right carriage bolts (which aren't in the instructions to use but I would highly recommend as this came with my first bike and is excellent at stopping thieves from removing a locked bike while I'm at the diner), washers etc while they turned the light off for me. Then the lock itself was not installed. This is included in the click but wasn't detailed in the instructions so it might be confusing for a smaller person. In general, I was just very disappointed that the 5-minute work took more than half an hour. I hope the quality of the product will be the same as my old one, I guess time will tell.
