If I were in a life and death situation, I wouldn't want this!

I used to buy soldering guns and I have to tell you this one was complete crap! The temperature control was an absolute joke. The "adjustability" of the temperature controller is nonsense. I couldn't reduce it to the number I needed. Wanted 450, got 367 or 482. In the time it takes to heat up and stay hot I could heat up two pieces of wood and make a fire quicker. I tried turning it off because the heat was too intense. Well, you'd better just run it at maximum as it doesn't seem to have an intermediate temperature. The packaging looks lovely, a cool little tote bag. until you open it Dropped half the stuff in my lap because I've seen soup sandwiches put together better than that Texas tornado from a suitcase that it all fell into. Let's just say this thing turned my 10 minute quick fix into a 40 minute documentary on every swear word in the dictionary because of that soldering gun I bought. well i will say this i would never buy this little device again but i will tell you the little blue handle the baby dykes it comes with are sharper than bear claws and we're probably the only good thing, that came out. this kit. Well actually the terrorist box cutter they give you in the kit was pretty good too but let's be honest who knows how long it'll be before I snip a piece of tail chops with this flimsy Chinese special. Generally, go to your local Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a good quality, name brand soldering gun. All in all, save yourself the trouble, just don't buy these.
