ATTENTION: This is only a wedge! There are complaints for those who don't realize this. So if you want a pair (not sure why you only want 1) - then you need to order two! I did a lot of research before I bought them. Most other pads really scared me - I work a lot on my car (and other people's cars) and nothing beats safety. I like having multiple layers of security for everything I do. Most other brands seemed to be made out of cheap hard plastic which felt like a real safety hazard to me. Very thick rubber is the only type of wheel chock I trust for my safety. Don't trust plastic. As for the build quality, they have a "void” inside, but the rubber is VERY thick. The rubber is probably 2 inches thick at its thinnest point and thicker at the top. They support my Honda Accord with no problem and dare I say they fit in a MUCH bigger car. Also, they won't slip if you have concrete floors! The rubber sticks very well to the floor. If you have plastic spacers, be careful! You have no security! You will slip, and easy ones are not safe. If you want a chain between them, you also have hooks to tie them together.
