Bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. He has quite a lot of ties and used these cheap round tie hangers. They worked until his collection expanded and it was time for a different method. This tie clip is pretty basic and works well for the price. It is easy to insert batteries and attach to the fishing rod. I'm deducting a star for two reasons. First, while belt hooks seem like a good idea, they don't work that well in the long run. You can hang straps, but even a strap that's slightly bent from wearing can cause the ties to snag when you twist them. My friend doesn't bother using belt hangers because of this - it ends up being more trouble than it's worth. The second reason is that even when tightened, the entire block is a bit loose and will move around a bit. Of course it's not a deal breaker and we thought about adding some kind of padding so it can hold up better. All in all, with a few minor caveats, this is a great affordable swivel tie clip for those who are on a budget but still want something of quality.
