This wig is jet black. I don't have makeup on so I look miserable. So you definitely have to wear some warming makeup with it to look normal since it's jet black. I parted it alllll the way to the side and cut the bulk the sides and bottom just about 1 inch snippets totalling 10-12. I also flattened one side down with my hands just to even the shape. It required 15 minutes of thoughtful styling/shaping but im not mad at it. I usually throw out wigs that annoy me I don't care how expensive they are. This wig almost annoyed me but like I said once I put 15 minutes of thoughtful styling we became friends. This wig is for women who are used to curly hair. If you are new to wearing curly hair wigs I would not recommend this because it can give off Shirley Temple vibes which can be unsettling for an adult women. If your a curly hair girl I recommend this as a good addition to your collection, you will enjoy the sweet vibes these curls bring. It's very different from the usual curly wigs but a "tilt your head" " oh thats nice" kinda different. Great value piece. Good to have in your collection. Not a good choice if you are looking for that perfect everyday wig. This is not an everyday wig. This is a Saturday wig and Sunday brunch wig. I don't think I would recommend this wig for women in the Elder years only because it's jet black and it would be difficult to get the makeup right.
