These bobby pins are thick and durable. This is the second time I buy this set. I have arthritis in my hands and most hair clips are too tight for me to undo easily. I have so much hair and all my bobby pins keep breaking. I bought these hair clips based on the reviews and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. As you can see in my photo I have to curl and double my hair to get it all the way into these bobby pins which not only hold all my hair but hold it well. I have never found clip on clips that work as well and I will not buy anything else. Hope that helps.

Bought 4 packs. They don't look like some of the cheaper clips I've used. The spring is strong so there is enough tension and the plastic seems more durable than some of the others I've used.
