Review on Igloo 72 Quart Marine Seat Cushion in White (25428) - Enhanced for SEO by Alfonso Alexander

Pathetic! Igloo should be ashamed of its name on this product

I would like to start by saying that this is the first negative review I have ever written but I found the quality of the product to be so poor that I would have done a disservice to others who are considering buying this pillow. I'm sure others have had more positive experiences, but here's mine. I bought this to replace my Boston Whaler's cooling pad. Earlier this season, the previous cushion lost two of the straps holding it in place. But since no one ever sits on a cooler and the pad was several years old, I assumed the straps were dry rotted, ignored the reviews and bought them anyway. First, the straps are too long, causing the pillow to play a lot (which I think led to its downfall). That's not to say my latches are misplaced because the radiator shroud is so thick and the latches are as low as possible. about 10 minutes before you take the helm. I went to the bow of the boat and incredibly one of the straps had come loose from a seam in the pillow. The stitching didn't break, but the strap hung uselessly on the side of the cooler. I am very happy to have purchased this item from Revain as it is very easy to return. I'm shocked that Igloo hasn't developed a product with better specs as it's used on boats built at least in the 70's. Hoping they have a better option I went to the Igloo website and saw that they have a new marine model (Yukon) that has a pillow that feels much more durable. I thought hey, maybe a 70 square pillow would fit in a 72 square cooler. No, the Yukon is about 3.75 inches longer and even the 50qt is way too big. I suspect they want everyone to move to the Yukon, but I can tell you that if I go to the trouble of swapping out the brackets, it will most likely be for the Yeti, not the Yukon.
