I didn't expect that. I was looking for thick, heavy rubber balls that mimic the weight of a baseball. They are not. I haven't tried to hit them yet, but I've tried throwing them. They are too light to feel in my hand so I will be sending them back. I have a scale so I weighed one and it weighs 2 ounces like a tennis ball. Baseball's 5 oz. The material is similar to what Crocs shoes are made of. It is much thinner than it appears in the picture as the holes have a ridge that curves towards the centre. Its thickness is less than 1/8 inch. Thus, structural integrity is virtually non-existent. They're probably good for hitting, but I don't expect them to perform any better than SKLZ Wilfling balls, which are half the price.
