Out of the box it's dead. I mean, so dead I wasn't sure if it broke or just needed a recharge. The instructions other than charging for EIGHT hours were less than helpful. Well it seems you need to charge it when the power light is flashing white/amber. At least that's what I'm assuming because the instructions suck. I decided to order a replacement just in case. The monitor was needed the next day. Well after 3 hours it turned on and after 4 hours it was charged and stopped blinking. The build quality of this monitor is not impressive for such a portable monitor. Regardless of the brand, however, they all seem to be built the same way. First, I can press on the screen and feel it flex. As such, I strongly recommend that you don't put pressure on the screen, which is a concern considering it's a portable monitor. I had the HDMI cable and power cord connected and when I moved the monitor the mini side of the HDMI cable would knock. Side of my computer bent and broke in one motion. Made cheap again. If you touch the cables where they plug into the monitor, you can feel how weak the connection is. Also not very good when I work in the car sometimes. The monitor is touch sensitive and responds well to touch. I haven't figured out how to rotate it yet. I tend to think that my laptop doesn't support this feature. At home, the monitor is bright enough for my use, but I haven't tried it in the car. The included case works great as a stand and I love that I don't have to carry a separate stand. However, in my opinion, the case doesn't offer enough protection when I'm on the go, so I bought a sturdy case to go with it. most likely he will be dead. Be especially careful not to hit the cables at the connection point, otherwise they may break.
