If you're old enough, remember how easy it was to REMOVE the antenna from your old radio. These are about the same. Or if you had a card with an "automatic" antenna from the late 80's to the mid 90's? Same deal. Any lateral force and they will loosen until the telescoping parts pop out. Well, let me tell you. A fly swatter is NOTHING LIKE SIDE POWER with every hit. I've been using 1 for about 3 days and it's already broken. So I'm up to 9. The next shortcoming. When they collapse, nothing will stop the "gossip" end from spinning. So if your aim isn't perfect every time, or you only plan on hitting one side of the shot, forget it. It just twists and hits the fly with enough force to say "Thanks for the massage!". Good concept, poor execution and build quality. My recommendation: don't waste your money on this, just buy a model with a solid non-telescopic handle.
