So when I packed my "tools" to use on the go or even at home I bought 3 packs (one for home, one for mine gear for travel and one for backup). I've always had VERY short nails so this seemed like a practical choice, especially as it came with a 'chew' so I had one less thing to worry about. The time came when I had to use it, and even after seeing the video... Wow! It did not work! The idea of clipping it to my aligners was easy enough, but my aligners wouldn't let the hook grab. It took a long time for it to just completely "eat up" (no pun intended) my aligner-free time (my dentist limited me to 30 minutes to remove the aligners). I gave up and my fingers somehow found a way to remove the aligners. I think you have new aligners, this tool isn't very useful...at least mine were VERY tight. Only release the aligners after continuous wear (about day 3) I was able to insert the hook into the aligners and slowly pull them out. WARNING: Be VERY careful when attempting to hook and pull the aligners! The first set I used the instrument with resulted in the plastic ends of my aligners becoming bent! Luckily I was able to expand it a bit, but you have to be very careful. Overall the product was good but definitely difficult to use on new aligners and takes some practice. My dental office has shown and watched me pull and install my new aligners multiple times at their office. So that was my job for a while. Many Thanks.
