Review on 32GB Transcend JetFlash 350 USB 2.0 Flash Drive by Chia-pin Lin ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

The choice of flash drives is huge. If you don't like something, choose another. I like this form factor. The memory is quite reliable. The write speed is very good. I compared it with a similar flash drive that supports USB 3.0: the write speed is practically the same, but only the read speed differs (for a flash drive with USB 3.0 it is about 35 Mb / s). If a flash drive with USB 3.0 supported recording at the level of 15-25Mb / s (i. E. at least 1.5 times more than this), it would make sense to take it. But since the write speed of this flash drive is no worse than a USB 3.0 flash drive, and the reading is fast enough, I took it just so as not to overpay for unnecessary things. Flash drives of a smaller form factor, unfortunately, turned out to be worse both in terms of speed and ease of use. There was a Kingstone DT Micro (small, but without an indicator and with a worse speed) and a Sandisk Сruzer Fit (this one lost 2 times in speed and heated up so much that it was impossible to pick it up). Kids are good in a limited space (for example, for radio tape recorders in a car) or where you can break a flash drive with an inadvertent movement. But inserting and removing them from a USB connector in everyday life is less convenient than a standard-sized USB flash drive. I like Transcend in all respects more than others. Satisfied and recommend.

Pros
  • 1. USB Flash Benchmark utility: write speed - 10Mb/s, read speed - 22Mb/s (file size over 512kb). 2. Low cost. 3. Standard case - nothing superfluous: it weighs little, takes up little space, is conveniently inserted and removed from the USB connector. 4. There is an indicator. 5. Nothing is heated, it works stably.
Cons
