Great price and perfect size

I needed drawers for my newly renovated closet. I live in an old house and was trying to make a weird closet work. Every other item I looked at was either too wide for the space or didn't give a depth reading at all. I really didn't want to buy this product and wanted something nicer. However, since this item has metal drawer slides and I knew I could make the drawers better if needed, I bought them. I only had drawers with side grooves as guides. I wouldn't recommend anything like this unless the drawers are solid wood. The included drawer slides are of good quality. The drawers have plastic handles but I replaced them to make the drawers look prettier. I chose a drawer in the same shape as the ones provided due to the narrowness of my closet. I figured rounded bars would be safer if you nudge them in passing. They are the perfect size for the space I had. I had a depth of 11 inches from the wall to the door and about 25 inches between the wall and the hanger. Dimensions: 12" deep, 24" and 1/8" wide. Each set of 2 drawers is 15" and 3/4" high. My 3 sets combined were 47 and 1/2" high, which is what I wanted put them on top of the shoe rack I had but it was too big so I made a shelf underneath and it worked out great.Inside dimensions are 22&1/2" wide x 10&1/4" deep, inside height is 6&1 /4" front and 4&1/8" side and back. You need to take your time and put them together step by step. Using a hand screwdriver sometimes works better than using a power tool. Slowly turn the screws to the desired angle. Driving the screws in too fast can widen the hole and cause the laminate to be lost in the area where the screw slips because you're in a hurry I always add a SMALL amount of glue to the pre-drilled holes (bigger holes, not the ones for the drawer slides), the sides that go together which are joined and the groove for the bottom of the drawer to give extra strength to the final product. Wipe off glue drips with a damp cloth. Don't wet the cloth too much since the bottom of the box is basically cardboard. One drawer had a cracked area under the groove for the bottom of the drawer. I didn't expect perfection from such a cheap item and was glad it took up little space in just one of 6 drawers. I fixed the area, although without the fix it might have been fine. However, since I have an old house and have found from experience that it is easier to fix now than it might cause problems later, I went ahead and fixed it. I cut out some broken spacers, glued them together, and then glued them into the broken area that I machined and sanded.

  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
