First off it's VERY cheap for what you get. You get 4 full color bulbs half the price of 4 shades of white. For four full shades of BR30 you will spend about $200. SAY - don't buy them without knowing what you're doing. Sylvania/Osram's Lightify system will stop working offline in about a year. This means that if you buy a hub specifically for those bulbs, if a year later they flip the breaker and their servers go down, you're SOL - your Google Home/Alexa can't communicate with those bulbs at that point. .The solution is to buy Samsung SmartHub. Their prices vary, but they work with the Lightify system and are independent of the official servers, so you can continue to use these lightbulbs independently of their official service. You lose a bit of flexibility, but if color lighting and voice control are your biggest concerns, you should be fine for the foreseeable future. I have a combination of Hue lights and these at home and have had no problems. When using Samsung Smarthub I had no connection issues, no errors, nothing. Everything works exactly as expected with the Google Home ecosystem, and I suspect the same with Alexa. You have to fiddle, you have NO customer support, but if you're willing to do the legwork, they're very similar to Shades for a small price. The only thing I really noticed is that the colors on them aren't quite the same as on the Hue. It seems they can be just as vibrant, but sometimes you have to say "magenta" instead of "pink" to get the right color. My guess is that it's just a difference in how the hardware interprets incoming color signals. Overall, I would absolutely recommend them if you have the know-how, but if you don't want to mess around with it and aren't sure what you're doing, I'd do the extra work and get Hues.
