This is a great tripod that only lacks a mechanism to lock the legs in open intermediate positions when mounted by a full-size camera (with a heavy lens and) is carried. Note that in the attached photos I bent some copper electrical wires to provide this support. With very little effort and cost you can offer the best solution with this tripod. Supported by a smartphone, or with the legs fully open (to support and balance a full-size camera and telephoto lens), the tripod is superb, with very smooth operation and a rock-solid footing in both portrait and landscape modes .
