Easy point and shoot

I bought this tool to play around and I bought Fluke because I really enjoyed using their tools when I was in the US Navy was. This tool is easy to set up, can measure temperatures in Fahrenheit or Celsius, and the display backlight is just what you need in low light. I can't say how accurate it is, but I did this test. I put a mercury thermometer in my attic and measured the temperature as 154 degrees Fahrenheit, then compared that to a Fluke reading 153 degrees Fahrenheit by pointing it from my garage at the attic. I also did a cursory test of the inside temperature of the garage door and got 84 dF, the Fluke 62 MAX also showed 84 dF.

Pros
  • Precise laser technology for more accurate and repeatable measurements
Cons
  • Frequency
