I have a 2002 Honda 350 Rancher. The new screen and o-ring were smaller than the original. I used a new o-ring first to seal the valve base and then the original o-ring to get a good seal against the tank. I wasn't sure if it would work, but after waiting a week for it to arrive I was desperate. I filled the tank with just enough fuel to get the quad running and started checking for a leak. Luckily there weren't any. The rest of the setup was easy and the on, off positions and "reserve" seemed to work. Not sure why the discrepancy exists with strainer and o-ring sizes, but I'd feel better with a precise fit.
