The question arose about changing my old d5100 - I wanted something more compact, nimble and with better photo and video quality. The choice fell on the z50. I also considered Fuji and Sony, but somehow I didn’t work out with them. What I liked about the z50 is the ergonomics and grip of the camera, although it looks small and not very comfortable. I was surprised by the folding lens, for me it’s a novelty, let’s say, they also managed to shove optical stabilization into such a little one! Touch screen with the ability to adjust the menu for yourself, it is convenient to view photos and quickly adjust settings. There were no questions about the focus - everything is fast and tenacious. Also added the ability to focus on faces and eyes. It is possible to conduct silent shooting without attracting attention. The electronic viewfinder is bright and saturated without flickering, it is very comfortable to shoot. We conveniently implemented the management and transfer of photos through the application, which was not on my old camera - I took it and you can immediately transfer the file from the phone or edit it directly on the phone. Excellent shooting in low light, high working ISO. I use my optics from a DSLR through an adapter - it works flawlessly. Slowly began to master the video, the quality is excellent. In general, I got exactly what I wanted - a compact, convenient and modern camera with a bunch of chips and features.
