These are wonderful watercolor pencils. What I love about them: - Comes in a nice tin to keep your pencils organized - Each pencil is numbered so you can try them on - The pigmentation is surprisingly rich, but they require water to open. Otherwise they look like faded pastels on watercolor paper - they can be sharpened wonderfully down to the smallest detail. Colors spread evenly on the paper. What I didn't like: - I broke/crumbled a few pencil tips when I started to press them lightly. What you might be interested in: - I used a very small detailed brush when painting so it didn't absorb/pick up a lot of pigment from the paper while painting. If you use a large brush, it can accidentally remove the pigment from the paper, leaving a lighter pastel look. Overall I like this product very much. I'm deducting a star in the firmness category because the pencil case was slightly bent (due to the shipping process).
