A great upgrade, these cables offer a subtle but noticeable improvement over standard cables. They are very thin and flexible, which is great for installing large cartridges in a shell. The only complaint about the HL-5 wires is that both connectors are the same gauge. They are too small to fit pickup pegs and too big to fit shell pegs. I had to crimp them to fit the shell's pins, which is a bit of a chore as the connectors are shrunk. I had to force the plugs into the cartridge pins but at least they are secure. Otherwise, if you're still using the shell's standard output, it's a worthy upgrade.
