Bright UV Lamps

Let me first point out that these are fairly intense UV lamps, but that doesn't make them antibacterial, nor do they claim to be. My UV test card shows that the light is very intense - the darker the purple lower window gets, the more intense the light. It doesn't say which way they go - they go with the flat end toward the lid, but with the positive end toward the head. Turn it on and off by pressing the rubber button at the end. A little hard to press; That's good - it won't accidentally turn on in your purse or pocket or anywhere else. I collect petroleum jelly or sometimes called uranium glass. It glows brightly under black light. You can see in the second shot my Vaseline cat is glowing brightly. You can also use it to spot animal spots, scorpions and other things. Do not shine it in your own eyes, in those of others, or in the eyes of your home. (To be honest the photo in the listing showing it shining on a live kitten's snout is very disturbing; I hope the cat wasn't blinded.) This adjusts from a narrow or wider beam, although not as much as I expected. My third and fourth photos are fully adjusted in both directions at about 10 feet. (Not that there's any idea how big it is, but at least you can see the difference in the setting). Anyway, the light isn't very well defined at the edges, which surprised me. This is a good black light for on the go. . It's thin and light, so it doesn't take up space in your purse or whatever, and you don't have to remember it when you stop somewhere and wish you had it.
