Well, there is an advantage. I installed them in my 91 S10 short bed and bought a set of 3 just in case. Only with 2 LED strips, the results (as shown in the photo) are quite pleasing. I wanted everything to be hidden and was able to do this by hiding most of the wiring behind the driver's tail light. My only complaint is that I wanted the switch to be mounted in the truck's cab. However, the best way to neatly route the wires and the length of wire included prevented this without cutting the bundle and adding a bundle of wires. So, with that little detail out of the way, I sealed the switch, double taped it to the back, and secured it in the lighted bed rail. Aside from having to deviate from my original plan, it's a pretty solid set overall. A longer wiring harness with the ability to mount a switch in the cockpit without having to make a connection to the OE wiring harness would have given this rating 5 stars. Let's just hope these LEDs last longer than a truck!
