It is not as powerful as my vacuum cleaner at home. But I cleaned out all the junk that had accumulated in my car last winter. I also have a few other handheld vacuums that I use for quick cleaning around the kitchen. But this one was powerful enough to pull dirt out of cracks and crevices and loose soil out of carpets. The smaller brush head may not be designed for this, but it works quite well. As much as it sucks up dirt, it also blows dust out of hard-to-reach places on the dashboard, head unit and radiator controls.
