This is a great surge protector for the money. Rotating/pivoting power outlets are a great advantage as many devices have oversized plugs which, due to their size, usually prevent access to a single outlet; But with the ability to rotate the socket towards the bar, oversized plugs are no longer a problem. The USB ports are also useful. I can't say for sure if this block protected any of my devices from surges; but I can say that none of them have failed when connected, even with frequent storms and power outages here in Florida.
