The wiring to the Tmap sensor started to fail causing the motor to run intermittently for no apparent reason. This could be fixed by cleaning the connector that connects to the sensor, but that only lasted for a few short rides. The engine began to run rough again, the spark plug twitched, the engine began to run more smoothly. I tried to repair and clean the connector again, the connector just failed. Bought this connector repair kit, spliced it together, used a heat gun to shrink the butt connectors and put in a new Tmap sensor as the connector blades on it were probably not pristine. After the repair, the engine started and worked perfectly again. The only difficulty is that the colors of the wires are not the same. I photographed and noted the order of the colors of the wires on the standard connector. You can then remove the rubber boot from this repair connector and list the colors of its wires and match them in order. Write them down so you know what wire colors are associated with this repair connector. Worked very well. I think the total cost was around $42 since a new Tmap sensor was also around $26 through Revain. Polaris charged over $70 for the same Bosch Tmap sensor #0 261 230 217
