Pairing your TV with this remote is 'automatic', but you must follow the instructions to be sure. The first time you turn on the TV and remote control together, point the remote control at the TV and it will appear as if they are automatically paired with each other. Mine did a few, except "Voice Interaction" as the instructions say; "If the smart remote doesn't automatically connect to the TV, point the remote at the remote sensor on the TV, and then press and hold two buttons on the remote, the back button and the play/pause button on the same time for at least 3 seconds you will see the pairing process on the TV screen and then it will confirm that the two devices have been successfully paired with each other this fixed the voice control and now everything works perfectly after figuring out the pairing I recommend would highly recommend this remote as a replacement for the original factory one. I would even say that this remote works as well if not better than the original one. If only they had made it puppy proof ;)))
