Review on The Ultimate Garmin HRM-Tri Heart Rate Monitor: Track Your Performance with Precision by Jennifer Madrid

Mediocre product, best fitness technology

The first HRM swim I received didn't work. It cannot be paired with the watch. Garmin's customer service is terrible. They took over 2 weeks to contact me and then they just repeated all the steps from the guide I had already tried. I tried to contact them again. No Answer. I sat for 3 hours and gave up. I had to go to a local tech expert to have it examined and he found the product was dead on arrival. Meanwhile, Garmin never responded to my second inquiry. I sent it back with a request for a replacement. They refunded my money so I had to buy a new one. This took another 2 weeks. As a result, I received one earned in a week. He's still having problems. Sometimes after swimming it won't load and then you have to save your swim without heart rate and then go to your history and try to load it. Luckily, this usually works to get around the problem. I don't know why there are glitches from time to time, but this is the Garmin for you. They sell very expensive products that are full of bogeys and have limited swimming stats. While Garmin works for running and cycling, they make mediocre or poor swim products. Note: As other reviewers have pointed out. This product is very uncomfortable and rubs like no other after an hour of swimming. Considering the price, it should at least be comfortable.
