Works fine until battery change

Works perfect until battery change, then fails. I've had 2 of these, both with the same story. Bolts, threaded inserts and o-rings are cheap, causing the HRM to leak and fail. Also, the rubber tab on the clasp cuts you into pieces over long distances. I found I had to put a piece of fabric underneath to avoid cutting myself (no, it wasn't too tight). I was meticulous in disassembling and reassembling, even with locks. Good as long as the battery lasts. He also slides in the pool. Needs…

Five stars Good for fitness technique

Ideal for cycling and running. I haven't had a chance to use it in the water yet. Update, it's been 1 year and 2 months since I bought this HRM. On a recent boot, the device told me the battery was low. I found it weird as I had it replaced maybe 2 months ago and went for a bike ride the next day. apparently the last run was all he had left in the battery. After changing the battery, it was not registered in my watch or in my cycle computer. I took the battery off my cadence sensor and tried…

Assembly was very simple, works great. Heart rate syncs every time with no issues. The only downside is that the strap gradually loosens as you swim. At least once a week I swim 2 miles straight in a 25 meter pool and after about 1.5 miles I have to either stop to pull myself up or push off the wall with less intensity. I use mine with the 920XT and love it. Update 09/04/2016: The monitor still works perfectly, however the strap in the link wears out quickly even after the flushing/cleaning…

As many reviews say. It's cool until the battery dies.

I had a Tri HR monitor and it was amazing for about 10 months. until the battery is dead. After I replaced the battery it synced for about 2 or 3 workouts and then died again. I assumed the battery was bad. So I changed the battery again and it ran again for about 3 more workouts. I really like the metrics and decided to buy another one because honestly when you do metcons (exercise with a lot of movement) the heart rate monitor on the watch is not very accurate if you do what you need to do…

I changed the battery and now it's not working again

Bought in April. Worked well until the battery died in December. I changed the battery according to the instructions but it doesn't connect. I've changed the battery two more times and it still won't connect. By the way, the battery is very difficult to replace, too difficult for such a price. I had this problem with other Garmin devices. I had old heart rate monitors that did the same thing; Devices do not work after changing the battery Since I started triathlon 4 years ago, I have had 5…

Mediocre product, best fitness technology

The first HRM swim I received didn't work. It cannot be paired with the watch. Garmin's customer service is terrible. They took over 2 weeks to contact me and then they just repeated all the steps from the guide I had already tried. I tried to contact them again. No Answer. I sat for 3 hours and gave up. I had to go to a local tech expert to have it examined and he found the product was dead on arrival. Meanwhile, Garmin never responded to my second inquiry. I sent it back with a request for a…

Great for other sports

It's advertised for a cross country bike but I was looking for a heart rate monitor that I could wear for other contact sports where wearing a watch wasn't an option. It was fantastic for basketball, soccer and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. It's important to get a heart rate monitor that actually has built-in memory, as other monitors rely on being connected to either your smartphone or fitness machine and are useless without them. next to you. no You can't run across the soccer field with an iPhone in…

distance, speed, heart rate, HRV, etc. statistics. I load Garmin data files into FirstBeat Athlete and use the Learning feature to know when to rest, work light, and train hard. But I also play a sport where wearing a large watch isn't recommended or allowed, which meant I wasn't able to collect data for those workouts. I tried to evaluate important statistics and enter them manually into Garmin Connect and Athlete. Otherwise you would assume I took the day off when in fact I had a monstrous…
