Review on The Ultimate Garmin HRM-Tri Heart Rate Monitor: Track Your Performance with Precision by Randy Montiel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

As many reviews say. It's cool until the battery dies.

I had a Tri HR monitor and it was amazing for about 10 months. until the battery is dead. After I replaced the battery it synced for about 2 or 3 workouts and then died again. I assumed the battery was bad. So I changed the battery again and it ran again for about 3 more workouts. I really like the metrics and decided to buy another one because honestly when you do metcons (exercise with a lot of movement) the heart rate monitor on the watch is not very accurate if you do what you need to do. it is not necessary to have an almost straight wrist. When I searched, I found that many 1 star reviewers had almost the same problem as me. To me that means it's a known issue. For this thing to have any value (I paid £99 when I bought it) I don't expect to need a new one every year.
