Review on bitFit by Samuel Blakeley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An excellent toolset and solid support team

The dashboard is easy to use, it has all that you need in one place for your hybrid stack! Easy upgrade path from vSphere 6 or 8 with minimal effort as well. No dislike at this time but if there were any I'd like them fixed quickly so they don't interfere w/ my day-to-day workflows & operations (it's really quick!). If you're looking into building out an architecture where VMs are powered by both VMware Cloud Foundation / VCFaaS + Microsoft Azure Automation then Bitfit will be useful when doing migrations between environments because their product can handle multiple hypervisors natively - including HyperV Server 2016 which we run our primary workloads off of now instead of using KVM Virtual Machines only due to licensing costs.

Pros
  • It was very intuitive once i got used how everything worked.
  • Very user friendly UI compared other products suchas Chef Opserver etc..which took some getting accustomed too before learning anything new.this made me feel more comfortable about trying something else besides Puppet Enterprise since those things have been around longer than vmwareshpere automation tools do today; )
Cons
  • I will keep silent
