These cables are quite thick so probably can handle higher currents than regular cheap cables. However, they are also very stiff and do not bend or straighten well. I suspect this is partly due to the aramid fiber mentioned. In any case, the cables are therefore well-suited for power/charging applications, especially ones where the device remains stationary but is a little cumbersome for data transfers.
