Works great! From cold water, starting at a water temperature of around 57⁰, it takes around 7 minutes to bring to a boil at 212⁰. Not that bad. It's nice to see the blue color, to see the water boiling. Seeing how much water is in the kettle really helps. There is even a keep warm function for up to 60 minutes. The display also shows the current water temperature during heating and stops at the desired temperature. Worth the purchase price. (Edited) However, there is one major downside that annoys me. The blue light does not go out after a few minutes. I haven't found a way to turn off the blue lights. The only options were to remove the glass from the base or unplug the cord. Also, it's more difficult to use than metal, so it's not the best choice if you can't lift heavy objects. I bought the 4 year insurance option in case it expires sooner than expected.
