Where have they been all my life?!

I am very impressed with how well they work for cooking potatoes, carrots, zucchini, peppers etc on a baking sheet in the oven. The food is delicious, cleaning is quick and easy. I find the heat output more than sufficient for my needs. I was nervous that after washing they wouldn't feel completely clean, but warm soapy water. soft sponge, air dry a few minutes and the mat will be like new. I haven't even noticed a hint of chemical smells or tastes, so I think using them properly is important to prevent something like this, which means using them on a metal pan, not by itself, and not exposing them . direct flame, pretty common sense. If you feel you need a higher temperature range, just politely decline. I find it a bit interesting that so many reviewers gossip about the 50 degree difference as 400 degrees is very hot for me so I wouldn't even consider if my needs would ever be in that range to get it to use. Surely there are better options. But for most dinner prep, they do a great job. I love that I don't add any calories to my meals, so there's no need for a cooking spray (of course, I still use no-calorie coconut oil spray, but I still think less is more). There is another exception to the rule, which is that it's also great value as you get two rugs for a very reasonable price (I made something similar at a similar sized department store last week but only one rug for $18). . I just remembered even putting some fish in my veggie skewers for a few minutes last night and the mat didn't retain any fishy smell and that was after I couldn't wash the dishes that night and it was in the sink by then left until the next evening. My fiancΓ© and I are usually better off cleaning on time, but we're human so it's nice to know they're durable enough to take a little neglect. If in doubt as to whether you need them or not, then yes. I'll admit I didn't have any expectations for performance either, which is probably why I'm so positive about these totally non-stick mats.
