Review on Xprite Stainless 2007 2018 Wrangler 2018 2020 by Jordan Jackson

Looks great, value for money, difficult installation

Replacing the underside of the hood latch is a challenge for any product. There's not much room to work; The U-joint bushing can be useful, but expect knuckle scrapes. Aligning the top and bottom of each latch will take some patience and trial and error, so don't tighten everything until you've verified that the latch closes. ADVANTAGES: APPEARANCE AND MATERIALS. The clasps look very sharp and feel well made and solid. My first impression is that the materials aren't all that different from the much more expensive products on brand sites, although time will tell. NEGATIVES: DESIGN. Since the kit did not include washers for the internal nuts, I reused the original nuts (see fig 1). More importantly, the metal end of the closed latches touched the hood of my 2016 JK 2 door, most likely damaging the paint (see pic 2). To fix this, 1.) I reused the OEM plastic clips under the top rubber pad and bracket to increase clearance. 2.) Comes with two sets of rubber pads, 4 with JK and 4 with JL, with the top pads with JL being thicker (see fig. 3). Between each top bracket and the cowl I used both the OEM plastic brace mentioned above and the thicker JL spacer (I have a JK though) and now I have enough clearance (see pic 4).
